Description
What is Calming K9?
Calming K9 is a simple, CBD Oil for dogs (and cats… and even humans!). It is a great way to provide your pet with their own delicious source of CBD.
Calming K9 is great for dogs who need to take the edge off, or who need help getting cozy for bed at night. This is also great for after a long day of play or after a long walk to help them wind down and relax.
What’s inside Calming K9?
Calming K9 has only three ingredients: MCT oil, full spectrum CBD oil, and peanut butter oil. We don’t include any additives, fillers, synthetic ingredients, or preservatives. Each batch is made in low quantities to ensure top quality control, then tested by a third party lab for potency.
What is MCT Oil?
MCT’s are medium chain triglyceride oils. lt is most commonly extracted from Coconut Oil as 50% of the fat in coconut oil comes from MCTs. They have a lot of possible health benefits, but they are not the same. Often confused for each other, Coconut oil is made up of both LCT and MCT fats, while MCT oil only contains one. They behave differently in the body compared to LCT fats. MCT is the base of all of our CBD oil tinctures.
How much should I use?
On the side of the bottle, you’ll find a handy measuring guide for serving sizes. Generally, we recommend “low and slow” for animals, working their way up depending on their size and diet. We suggest adding it to the top of their food or as a part of a treat.
Small Dogs: ≈ 5 mg of CBD
Medium Dogs: ≈ 10 mg of CBD
Large Dogs: ≈ 16 mg of CBD
Can Calming K9 be used on cats?
Yep! There’s no reason this CBD Oil won’t work for all pets, including cats. Just because peanut butter is more common for dogs doesn’t mean your feline friend can’t also partake! Like with dogs, start off low and slow and observe if you’re seeing the desired effects or relief in your animal. Outside of the benefits of CBD, the MCT oil in the recipe may support healthy digestion and metabolism, and even prevent hairballs.
Note: You should always consult your veterinarian before adding CBD to your animal’s diet, and before mixing with medications or other supplements.
